Ch-ch-changes pt. 1:

An Imperfect Recollection of the Past

Okay.

I said I was going to start blogging again, and I meant it. 

And since it’s taken me a month of quarantine during a global pandemic to publish anything, I guess I cannot blame my job for not giving me time to write anymore.

This is my N-part series of posts about how my life/relationship/sexuality has changed in the four years since I was updating Submissive in Seattle regularly.

Back in October, I finally wrote about turning thirty, only about four and a half  months before I turned 31. I am in a pretty good place right now; in fact, if the world was not the stupidest possible iteration of the dystopian cyberpunk future we could have gotten, I’d say things are great!

The last four years saw me take a new position at work, in an essentially unmanaged department. I was suddenly working 55+ hours a week with swing shifts. trying to do what should be a salaried job, as an hourly supervisor. In the last year organization at work has improved to the point where I often work as little as 40 hours a week.

Then, in December, I brought Chaos out to a beach, and got down on my knees, and immediately started blubbering as I asked her to marry me. Said yes, and cried a bit too.

I got onto a better mix of mental health drugs, but it took a couple of those years to get my system to really feel back to “Me” – which, if you’ve had to take meds for anxiety and depression, you probably know what I mean, (and if you don’t, then basically take any movie that shows someone not feeling “real” on medication, and flip it inside out.)

And once work got a little less insane, and I really got my chemistry rebalanced, a lot of the stumbling blocks thas had been getting in the way of the sex life we wanted started to fall away. In fact, since I’ve written regularly we have added a few new kinks to our repertoire.

So, all in all, I have a lot of new things to write about, and I am excited to get up to speed and dive in.
